Submariners are meant to be tool watches and this specific timepiece was cherished and worn by a Parisian gentleman who proudly used it at sea and in his daily life.
1.9 mil serial dates it to 1968-69 in my books.
The dial has a beautiful egg shell patina on the markers , all matching and quite attractive. The background is clean and those white spots you see are just the reflections from the crystal that is the original dome fitted at birth. The hand set is in good condition and one shade lighter in the egg shell color.
The case is unpolished and very, very thick with prominent original bevels that are raw and show the love the guy gave this watch.
The bezel insert was replaced at service and is clean with the tritium pearl intact and matching patina with the markers. The bezel metal ring is sharp and thick.??The crown is the twin lock crown original to the watch.
The oyster bracelet is a heavy submariner 93150 in good order.
The case back has the engraving from the original owner indicating the watch was indeed from Paris and matching the Parisian stamped warranty.
Accompanied by it’s original Rolex warranty , the watch was sold in 1970 by the Parisian AD “Leon”.
A great watch to collect and wear in it’s natural element!
