A very fine specimen of the iconic Freccione aka Steve McQueen Explorer II.

5 million serial dates it to 1978 in my books.

This watch comes directly from the first owner who bought it at the AD in the late 70s in Massachusetts.

Beautiful strong case with even lugs and original bevels.

The bezel is clean with sharp black engravings.

The dial is beautiful with no blemish on the background and even egg shell patina on all markers.

The hand set matches the patina and the orange hand slightly faded to yellow. The orange hand has a little chip in the luminous material.
