I’ve been after this watch like forever and finally it has stopped eluding me.

5 million serial dates it to 1979

The blue Buckley dial with orange patina lume AND the super rare original ??White Hand set is finally in my hands.

You should know, Datejust White Hands go only and exclusively on this dial, it is a striking look and just a pleasure to look at.

The royal blue color Buckley dial is in great cosmetic conditions with no scratches on the background, the marks you see are on the crystal only. It is rare also to see the tritium lume plots on this type of dial and here they indeed flake but leaving their pleasing orange color. In my opinion just fantastic in a Wabi Sabi style. The hand set lume patina is matching and striking with the white contrast.

This Datejust is a reference 16030 and it is normally fitted with an engine turned steel bezel. The original owner ??had it replaced with a far more attractive original Smooth Bezel at Rolex Service.

The Oyster 78360 bracelet is tip top.

Accompanied by it’s Original Rolex Punched warranty.

A fantastic watch indeed, for the savvy collector.
