A nice find this early Datejust 1603 in pleasing conditions. The leaf hand set with the doorstop markers really set it apart from the common models we see.

1.1 million serial dates it to 1962, in my books.

The case is nice and still has some nice thickness to it. The engine turned steel bezel is in nice conditions.

The dial is very cool with it’s think indexes and doorstep markers at 6 and 9. All the lume plots are present and matching in patina. The leaf hand set is in good conditions. The dial background is void of marks or defects.

Accompanied by it’s Rolex Chronometer certificate.

A very handsome watch indeed!
