A truly super rare reference, model 4500 is a classic Rolex Chronograph from the late 40s and 1950s era.

42xxxx serial dates it to 1957, in my books.

36mm case diameter make it a contemporary and wearable size.

Monoblock case in sharp conditions and close to factory proportions, clean bezel and even lugs. Original pushers start and reset smoothly.

The dial is extremely attractive with its pink dagger markers, warm parchment patina and bicolor telemeter scale. The alpha style hand set in pink gold along with the blue steel seconds hand are very attractive. No blemishes or scratches just honest aging.

The R23 movement is running strong with no issues and the chronometer resets smoothly.

All in all a watch for a true connoisseur and a person with refined taste.
