Dial: Original non refinished non restored non printed – military style dial with 24 hour track

Hands: Original non replaced hour,minute and seconds hands military style

Movement: Mechanical , signed Rolex. Clean and working condition.

Case back: Stamped RWC (rolex Watch company) and with watchmaker’s mark from 5/12.

Age:late 1930s

Strap: original Rolex, buckle Rolex in stainless steel

In my research prior to buying this timepiece I found no similar reference with this dial and in this conditions making it an extremely

desirable example of Rolex bubbleback.

Most Rolex bubblebacks today show heavy signs of polishing and refinished dials that lower their collectability and value.

This case features deep and sharp halmarks on the case back (serial number and owner engravings). The dial is non refinished and extremely sought after.

The size of the timepiece is also very peculiar as majority of the comparable examples in the market are 32-34mm.

At the time of production these “boy sizes” were destined for Army personnel from the Canadian Army,hence the military style dial.

The smaller size avoided the wearer to hit it and damage it in combat or training.
