Description

The king of sport luxury watches the Nautilus from the brainchild of Gerald Genta standing strong from 1976 to this day in the hearts of watch enthusiasts and bon vivants.

This 3700/1 two tone stainless steel and 18k yellow gold is a rare find in this specific reference with the super masculine so called “big bracelet” (as opposed to the tapered version of 3700/11), furthermore accompanied by it’s original Certificate of Origin and presenting itself in untouched unrestored pleasing conditions. This watch has been acquired from the original owner himself who enjoyed it for 40 years.

The jumbo massive case is in overall nice conditions with prominent bevels at the shoulders integrating to the bracelet, the bezel retained it’s defined porthole octagonal facets and has never been polished but lovingly worn resulting in a shine on the yellow gold (it can obviously be repolished). The original crown is in nice conditions.

The stepped marine blue dial with sigma signature and accent on “e” of Geneve is the original one and in overall pristine conditions and attractive color along with the hand set in pristine shape.

The beefy bracelet is in overall excellent conditions retaining it’s erect form along with the original clasp in beautiful conditions.

The automatic ultra thin Patek Philippe movement is running well and keeping time.

Accompanied by it’s original warranty and recent archive papers stating date of manufacture (1979)?? and sale (1980) along with a?? Patek Philippe booklet that was part of the set.

A grand watch for a great collection!
