Going back to a time where class and the dolce vita was the order of the day here comes from that wonderful 1950s era a beautiful Patek Philippe Calatrava 2552 aka “Disco Volante”.

Reference 2552 is an automatic movement Calatrava dress watch with it’s signature round stepped bezel reminiscent of a flying saucer UFO.

The case is thick with even lugs and visible hallmarks. The bezel is clean and crisp. The screwback case back is in pristine conditions. That PP 50s crown is to die for.

The opaline dial is very attractive with it’s raised enamel Patek signature in top conditions. Very few signs of aging on the ivory background. The perforated minute track is pristine.

The automatic caliber is beautifully finished and really showcases Patek’s craftsmanship.

The watch is running well and keeping time.
