A very attractive Cartier “Vendome Ellipse” made in 1985 featuring a rare black Onyx dial. A refined watch and extremely versatile, easy to wear and striking in appearance. The watch appears to be unworn to this day.

The mint conditions 18k yellow gold ribbed case measures 33mm in diameter and 36mm including the fine cabochon sapphire crown. The caseback still retains it’s factory sticker and also features Brazilian import hallmarks matched by the 18k buckle as well. It’s interesting cause I’ve seen another similar watch with the same Brazilian markings, watch collecting is so intriguing!

The black onyx dial is in overall fine conditions with minute marks visible only with a loupe and the gilded signatures “Cartier”at 12 and “Swiss” at 6 are crisp. The golden hand set is in mint conditions.

The manual wind Cartier movement is running strong and winding extremely smoothly.

On it’s original Cartier strap and with it’s 18k gold “Ardillon” Cartier tang buckle.

A fine and rare watch to enjoy for times to come!
