Cartier Vintage Tank Jumbo Automatique | 1970s
A personal favorite, the Jumbo Tank Automatique is a fabulous watch that retains the classic vintage DNA of a Tank Louis while proposing a more contemporary size.
Manufactured in the 1970s and equipped with an automatic movement it really is the fusion of form, function and ultimate elegance.
The 18k case measuring 28 x 34 is in overall pleasing conditions with thick brancards and defined facets. Hallmark on the side is still visible along with the engravings on case back deep and sharp. The screws sit flush within the case. The crown with the super prominent turgid erect sapphire is really attractive.
The classic Cartier dial layout is in pristine conditions with no cracking, spidering and wonderfully preserved roman numerals. The blue steel hand set is attractive and mint.
The automatic movement is running well and keeping time.
On it’s original black crocodile Cartier strap and deployant buckle.
A classic watch indeed.
