A design going strong for over 120 years the Santos Dumont with it’s square case and riveted bezel is a classic of horology and quintessential Cartier. Reference 78097 is the 1970s iteration with it’s masculine chunky case and classic proportions a must have for the vintage Cartier lover.

The 18k gold case measuring 25 x 36mm is in crisp sharp conditions with very defined edges and raised bezel. Serial engravings and hallmarks are well retained on case back.

The dial is in overall nice conditions retaining its bright white background lacquer and painted numerals with minor aging on it visible with effort.

The manual wind Cartier movement is running well.
