Cartier Vintage Diabolo 1930s Paris EWC
In my opinion a truly exquisite watch with so much charm and character, a small gem speaking volumes about class and refinement typical of vintage Cartier! This officer’s style timepiece is a real fine one.
Dating to the late 20s early 30s and still retaining it’s original dial, hand set and EWC signed caliber coming from a prominent and seasoned European Cartier collector.
The 18k gold case measuring 26 x 32mm is in overall nice conditions retaining a clean bezel, its hand etched Cartier numbers on back and beautiful screwed lugs (like on the Diabolo on Tonneau model).
The champagne dial with roman numeral markers is in overall fine conditions for it’s age (about 100 years!) showcasing a nice glossiness to it and play of light. The breguet style hand set is to die for.
The European Watch and Clock CO. caliber is just serviced, winding smooth and running fine.
On aged leather custom strap beautifully complementing the watch, generic buckle.
A fantastic watch for those with a keen eye!
