An iconic watch by Patek Philippe from 1940 (as confirmed in the Patek Philippe extract from the archive), reference 425 is a sculptural curved tank from the war era here featuring its original and attractive black gilded dial and overall solid honest conditions.

The 18k gold rectangular, curved and faceted case measuring 20.5 x 34.5 mm is in fine conditions with extremely well retained definition and crisp hallmarks along with a clean back.

The original black dial with gilded logo and applied gold indices is in overall pleasing conditions with even patina throughout. The gilded print of the signature and minute track is still nice and vivid.

The manual wind Patek Philippe rectangular caliber 9–90 is just serviced and running beautifully.

Accompanied by its extract from the archives stating date of manufacture and subsequent sale in 1941.
