IWC Vintage Yacht Club Prototype Model

From the brainchild of Gerald Genta the Yacht Club has all the DNA of the mustached Swiss genius: Octagonal stepped and faceted steel case combined with ultra thin proportions. This particular watch is a prototype model given to few IWC executives and watchmakers and is truly a fascinating and good looking watch.
The steel case measuring an oversized 38 x 45mm is in sharp conditions with a mint raised bezel along with sharp lugs and edges. The screwback case cover is pristine. The domed mineral crystal in good conditions is original to the watch and provides a fantastic effect. The IWC fish logo crown is still present.
The greyish dial with it’s parchment like patina is charming and gives a great look along with the steel hand set in nice conditions.
The quartz IWC movement is running well and keeping time, I love how you can see the minute hand moving at the strike..
The alligator skin custom strap cut to fit the special design is extremely attractive and on it’s original IWC steel buckle.
A fantastic watch for a world class collector.
