Description

Stratospheric proportions in this Cintree Allongee same model as the one worn by Steve McQueen in the Thomas Crown Affair (his was gold plated, this is 18k) this watch is a dream come true for me that I was chasing it for so long. Looking like a London Cartier and having all the ingredients of a sensational vintage cintree without breaking the bank, lucky is the guy who takes this home.

Bueche Girod has been making cases, movements etc for Cartier New York City in the 60s and 70s and here we have the most coveted model in the lineup: the elongated Tank.

The 18k gold curved case measuring 17 x 42 mm providing fantastic proportions and presence on the wrist, is in pleasing conditions along with the original cabochon crown.

The attractive ivory color dial with painted exploded numerals and double signature is in overall nice conditions with some aging in the center. The blue steel hand set is pristine.

The manual wind movement is winding smooth and running well.

On red alligator strap that will fit a 6 inch wrist (can order new size) and 18k Cartier deployant buckle.

A fantastic look indeed!
