There are Calatravas and there are “big Calatravas” Patek Philippe dress watches. This timepiece belongs to the latter category being one of the largest looking vintage gentlemen watches of the Maison.

Clocking at 35mm in diameter and appearing way larger?? due to it’s bezel design and thin case the fabled reference 570 is an iconic watch from the 50s and 60s.

The case is in nice honest conditions with even lugs and nice curves. The bezel is overall clean. The case back has an engraving from the prior owner (dating it to 1958!).

The dial is appealing with it’s opaline color and hard enamel Patek signature. Some sings of aging are visible in the picture but no real eye sore. The center seconds adds much charm to the watch.

The manual wind?? 27sc Patek Philippe movement has just been serviced and is running with no issues.

On beautiful rugged leather strap and generic buckle.
