I always loved the sleek and pure form of the designs of Ferdinand “Butzi” Porsche (of Porsche car fame) that pushed innovative materials, German precision combined with a James Bond like style and a spritz of Euro understated chic.

This watch is from the late 1980s.

The Ocean 2000 is the most iconic of the IWC Porsche Design line it simply embodies the core concept of?? the brand.

A pleasure to wear this watch on a daily basis, elegant and sporty in any situation. Incredibly versatile and light but mostly a gorgeous glimpse into pure sleek design and function.

I must mention this same watch model was issued to the German army divers, a fantastic endorsement indeed.

The titanium ultra light case measuring 41mm in diameter is in pristine conditions featuring a rotating bezel in prime state and clicking beautifully at each rotation.

The dial is in fine conditions with very attractive tritium indices that acquired an even cream patina. The cursive style signature text from the first series of the Ocean 2000 is in pristine conditions. The baton style hand set shows some expected aging and the second hand still features it’s bright red accent.

The ultra light titanium bracelet is in excellent conditions standing fully erect and smoothly wrapping itself on the wrist of the wearer. The bracelet is fully linked and links can be easily removed with the provided screw utilizing Porsche Design patented pin push method. The clasp featured the first series reversed “PD” signature.

Furthermore the watch is equipped with it’s classic NATO Velcro strap, easy to put on with the pin push method and an absolute pleasure to wear. Just like the German Bund did….

The automatic IWC Schaffhausen movement has been serviced by IWC and is running with no issues.

Accompanied by it’s original and iconic zippered leather box, outer box, warranty card, booklets, bracelet removal tool, Velcro strap.
