It’s the Aldo Cipullo era at it’s height, Cartier NYC mansion is delivering the rich and famous of the Studio 54 era with exciting pieces such as the Love Bracelet, the Juste Un Clou and the truly exciting Tank Louis in wood available only in this location at the time.

This specimen is in close to new old stock conditions and original down to strap and buckle from the 70s.

Everybody makes a fuss about Cartier London etc but I find vintage Cartier 5th avenue as exciting with those funky watches and never ceasing to surprise with double signed Patek Philippe, APs and other brand collaborations that today would seem so avant garde.

The wood and gold plated case measuring 23 x 30 is in absolutely mint conditions with no wear. The case back is crisp and retains the gold plating and Cartier engravings in mint conditions.

The wood dial is pristine with applied numerals and cursive font Cartier in mint conditions. The original domed crystal is in overall fine conditions one scratch at center.

The original Cartier lizard strap has little wear and the original plated Cartier “Chanel style logo” buckle in mint conditions.

The manual wind movement is winding and running smoothly.

An exciting watch to own and wear, a conversation starter.. and definitely still a sleeper for the Cartier vintage collectors.
