A handsome example of the iconic Red Submariner 1680 in pleasant conditions and great patina.
2.9 serial dates it to 1971, in my books.
The case is sharp with thick and even lugs. The bezel is thick with sharp teeth. The insert faded to an even smokey grey.
The dial is gorgeous with deep custard patina on all markers matching evenly. The hand set is in top condition perfectly matching the markers. The Red submariner text is vivid red.
The original 9315 folded link bracelet is in pleasant conditions.
The caseback is stamped 70 and the 1570 movement is clean and running fine.
Accompanied by it’s original inner and outer box, hang tag and translation booklet.
All in all a very special Red Sub.
