A truly phenomenal find this 1967 GMT 1675 with 100% original deep custard patina!
1.7 million serial dates it to 1968, in my books.
The case is thick with even lugs, prominent satin finish and beveled edges. The bezel is thick with sharp teeth. The attractive insert faded evenly to a pastel red and blue, signs of regular wear are present.
The dial is incredibly attractive with all lume plots showcasing a strong deep custard patina beautifully matched by the hand set in great condition. The matte background has no defects. Under UV black light the lume is all homogenous and crisp.
This watch was stored by it’s original owner in a safety deposit box for many years and that helped the creating of this wonderful patina color.
The folded link 7836 oyster bracelet is in very pleasing conditions with minimal stretch.
The movement was just serviced and is running strong.
All in all a wonderful example of a truly unique GMT 1675.
