A truly magnificent GMT 1675 from the earliest 60s featuring a pointed crown guard case (aka Cornino) and a superb gilt chapter ring dial.
600k serial dates it to 1960 in my books.
The case is thick with even lugs and prominent beveled edges. The bezel is thick with sharp teeth. The insert faded to a wonderful powder blue and copper orange.
The case back is stamped 60.
The dial is extremely attractive with it’s glossy background, minute chapter ring in beautiful conditions and gilded text which is crisp and vivid. The tritium plots are pristine and all matching in patina. The hand set is in nice conditions with matching patina to the markers. There is one mark under the center pinion at 6 o’clock visible with a loupe. Overall the dial is really beautiful.
On folded link Rolex jubilee bracelet.
The movement is clean and running fine.
All in all a superb GMT 1675 specimen to be enjoyed for years to come.
