The Pagoda was produced in 1997 as a commemorative piece.
Classy and clean it’s rectangular shape make it a very elegant watch.
This piece is in mint condition and comes with box and papers.
Also included the original hang tag and Geneva seal.
In 1997 Patek Philippe opened their new watch making centre in Geneva, to mark the occasion they produced two series of limited edition wristwatches Ref:5500 and 4900 called the “Pagoda”. To ensure that there was no possibility of further “Pagoda” wristwatches being produced, Patek Philippe destroyed all tools used in the manufacture of these watches.
The limited editions are as follows:
Reference 5500: 100 examples in 18ct yellow gold, 500 examples in 18ct pink gold, 250 examples in 18ct white gold and 150 examples in platinum.
