A rare and limited edition 36mm Royal Oak to commemorate the charitable foundation of Audemars Piguet.
Reference 14990 is an upgraded 14790 featuring an exhibition case back.
D serial dates it to the mid 90s.
The case is mint and pristine with super sharp edges, strong angles and factory prominent satin finish. The screws sit flush within the steel bezel. The movement is visible through the case back.
The rare and attractive blue dial is in nice overall conditions with some aging close to the markers. The AP text is in perfect conditions. The indices acquired a nice tritium patina matched handsomely by the hand set in great conditions.
The bracelet is fully linked and stands erect in fantastic conditions. Very few minor signs of wear closer to the buckle.
The JLC based movement is running fine with no issues. I do not have service history.
Accompanied by the iconic octagonal Royal Oak box and outer box.
Blue dial, perfect conditions and rare reference make this the perfect 36mm Royal Oak!
