White metal complicated vintage watches from Audemars Piguet are exceedingly rare.
C series dates it to the early 80s.
The Quantieme Perpetuel was first launched in the early 1980s after the success of the Royal Oak to further establish Audemars Piguet on it’s pinnacle of fine watch making.
Featuring one of the slimmest automatic self winding movements further enhanced with perpetual calendar and moon phase complications, caliber 2120/2, cased in an exquisite ultra thin white gold case with a contemporary 36mm diameter and a stepped bezel design. This timepiece belongs in the most prominent collections indeed.
The case is mint and crisp with ultra sharp satin frosty finish on the sides of the case and very clean two stepped bezel. The lugs are even and sharp still retaining their beautiful beveled finish. The case back is mint with it’s original sunburst ultra fine finish and crisp deep engravings. This watch has been barely worn!
The dial with it’s neutral white background and lacquered glossy finish is pristine with absolutely no issues. The hand set is in mint conditions. The moon phase disk is mint
The lizard leather original strap is in overall top conditions with minor signs of wear. The original white gold Ellipse style Audemars Piguet buckle is in prime conditions.
The self winding movement is running well, keeping time and holding good power reserve all the while changing dates smoothly.
