A very attractive and iconic Red Submariner 1680 from the early 70s accompanied by everything it came with when it left the Rolex retailer.
3 million serial dates it to 1973, in my books.
The case is thick, sharp with even lugs and beveled edges. The bezel is thick with sharp teeth. The original bezel insert is in fantastic conditions and has a warm silver patina on the numerals.
The dial is attractive with it’s even mustard patina indexes and matching hand set in fine conditions. The red submariner text is vivid and crisp.
The original 9315 folded link diver’s bracelet is in fine conditions indeed.
The movement is running with no issues. I do not have service history for it.
Accompanied by it’s original punched warranty, cigarette card, triplock crown hang tag and original box.
All in all a fantastic collector’s grade Red Sub.
