An attractive mid century oversized square shaped wristwatch, reference 2514 exhibits the grandiose character of the 1950s with it’s squared yet curved lines and domed crystal really reminiscent of the cars of that bygone era.
The 18k gold case measuring a hefty 30 x 43mm looking real large on the wrist is in pleasing conditions retaining it’s full original lines, deep hallmarks, thick lugs and developed a nice patina (from oxidation) on the metal.
The dial double signed Gubelin with radial minute track and applied gold dagger markers is in overall decent shape with some aging showing on the peripherals. The dauphine hand set is in fine conditions.
The manual wind Patek caliber is running well and winding smoothly.
On custom made Suede leather strap and generic buckle.
A great vintage Patek Philippe for the discerned collector.
