I really enjoy the mid century modern taste of this beautiful and rare Patek Philippe from the early 70s.
My mind immediately goes to the aesthetics of designers Gio Ponti, Gae Aulenti , Ero Saarinen and all that avant garde space age appeal so contemporary and appreciated right now.
The large 35x40mm stainless steel case is in fine original conditions retaining it’s full proportions and wonderful finish unique to this reference. The satin radial like finish on the bezel is pristine along with it’s thick beveled lips. Some wear is present as the watch is unpolished.
The silver dial is in pristine conditions along with the interesting markers and hand set. A great dial color that matches virtually anything.
The automatic Patek Philippe caliber 350 is running well with no issues.
On generic strap but original stainless steel buckle.
Accompanied by Patek Philippe extract from the archives confirming year of manufacture and date of sale.
I don’t think we can find any other watch on the market that has the Patek Philippe pedigree, contemporary size, desirable steel case, original fine conditions and furthermore automatic movement that can compete with this fine and rare gem.
