I don’t need a Hodinkee article to point out that Apple took all the inspiration for their iWatch from the rare Patek Philippe reference 3582, the proof is in the pudding.
I am so drawn to the elliptical shaped Patek Philippe watches from the 1970s, such purity in design.
The 18k yellow gold case measures 34mm x 29mm and is in nice crisp conditions featuring a sharp and deep hallmark on the side of the case. The edges, facets and finish on the metal are sharp and crisp. On the wrist the watch has a strong and large presence.
The dial of very interesting design with the ellipse shape within the rectangle gives much visual pleasure. There is some aging on the dial making it appear like a lapis stone, love it or hate it.
The mechanical manual wind PP caliber 23-300 is running fine.
On integrated Patek Philippe yellow gold mesh bracelet of great quality and flexibility. Will fit a 7.75 inch wrist.
A real collectible and a beautiful object of design by Patek Philippe, the Ferrari of watches.
