From the collection of collector extraordinaire Roni Madhvani this rare and fine Patek Philippe reference 1582.
According to my research reference 1582 was produced from 1944 to 1949. The cases for this reference were made by Eggly and the dials were made by Stern Frères. The dials on this reference feature applied gold hour markers and Arabic numerals, double circle chapter ring, and an engine turned subsidiary seconds dial.
The 18k yellow gold case measures 34mm appearing much larger on the wrist and taking more skin real estate with the elongated fancy lugs. The case is in fine full conditions and proportions featuring defined lugs and a crisp sharp hallmark on the side of the case.
The dial is in overall pristine conditions with no blemish. The hand set is in fine conditions. The dial is very attractive with the applied Arabic numerals and all it’s details.
The manual wind Patek Philippe caliber 12”’120 is running smooth with no issues.
On generic leather strap and buckle.
A classic of Art Deco Patek Philippe design.
