The 1970s are absolutely the most creative time in watch history with Corum being at the forefront along with Piaget in making the funkiest craziest timepieces of the era.
Here we have a truly eclectic and one of a kind watch: the peacock feather dial which is machine cut and specially treated so it will never fade it’s majestic colors, a real testament to the great wonders of nature and creation.
The 18k yellow gold rectangular tank ribbed case measuring a contemporary 35 mm x 30 mm is in overall pleasing conditions, the engravings on the case back are sharp and crisp. The original crystal is still present and shows some wear at the 9 position.
The truly phenomenal peacock feather dial is brilliant with full fire, opalescence, iridescence and wonderful hues of cobalt blue, emerald green, purple and more. It is just fantastic. It is hard to photograph it indoors as the light reflects on the crystal.
The manual wind movement is running well and keeping time.
