The ingredients of the Santos Dumont have remained the same since the earliest 1900s and some say it’s the first wristwatch design ever!
This specimen is from the late 70s and sold in NYC.
The 18k yellow gold 24 x 35mm case retains it’s original proportions, finish and edgese, being unpolished but displaying some signs of wear. The riveted bezel is overall clean. The cabochon sapphire crown is in good conditions.
The dial is in overall pleasing conditions along with the blue steel hand set.
The mechanical manual wind Cartier movement is running well.
On Cartier new old stock lizard strap and plated Ardillon buckle.
