So contemporary- yet so elegant and so refined just like an exotic sports car this Cartier Tank A’ Vis (with visible screws) Jump hour in white gold.
Part of the highly acclaimed limited edition series Collection Privee’ revisiting all the iconic designs of the Cartier Maison and sold only at the Paris Place Vendome boutique, this watch is quite rare and indeed really strikingly beautiful. Retail was $28500 at the time.
The white gold case measuring 28 mm x 41 mm has a rich heft to it and a substantial wrist presence looking as I said really contemporary. The case is in overall fine conditions showing light wear. The sides of the case are brushed finished and display strong and sharp angles and lines. The octagonal sapphire tipped crown is in pristine conditions. The display case back shows a beautiful hand finished movement, deep hallmarks and maker’s engravings.
The guilloche’ finish white dial is really attractive and the jump hour display is fascinating while easy to read.
The manual wind in house movement caliber 9902MC is winding smoothly and keeping time.
Accompanied by it’s original burgundy alligator strap (worn but still has life) and white gold deployment buckle. On generic black croc embossed strap.
A fine watch to enjoy and add to your breathtaking Cartier collection.
