There was a time when Audemars Piguet automatic perpetual calendar watches were trading for below $20k.. that time is now and we should all be smart to acquire one.
The Quantieme Perpetual based on the ultra thin self winding caliber 2121 was an innovation in the late 70s early 80s and really took AP to the next level at that time.
D series dates it to the early 90s.
Most QP were manufactured in yellow gold and few in rose, white gold and platinum making this watch very rare and sought after.
The 36mm rose gold case is in pleasing conditions with a clean two stepped bezel and fine brushed finish on the side of the case. The case back cover showcases fine radial milled finish and crisp hallmarks.
The opaline dial is in overall fine conditions with some minor aging visible with a loupe.
The automatic perpetual calendar movement is running fine with no issues and has been serviced in my workshop. All functions and dates are working properly.
