Super funky and cool this Audemars Piguet Royal Oak “hybrid” made in the 80s , man whatta watch!
I just looked up the price list and catalog for this 18k beauty and it used to retail for a whopping $8500 35 years ago!
Measuring 32x39mm and appearing quite large on the wrist
The case is in absolute mint conditions with sharp edges and prominent factory satin finish. I love the case shape and the different layers of it giving a very geometrical feel to the watch.
The original dial is perfectly clean and is the first series iteration without “quartz” at 6.
The bracelet is in fantastic conditions standing hard and erect, fully linked.
The quartz movement is running with no issues. The peculiarity of this watch is that the hour hand is set normally by pulling out the crown while the minutes are set pushing the crown and having it sweep clockwise, really cool.
Accompanied by it’s original AP leather cube box.
A collector item for the one that follows no hype but just the rules of individual taste.
